A long distance walk of 109 miles in North Yorkshire which is in the first half, a crossing of the majestic North York Moors and, in the second half, a walk beside the beautiful Yorkshire coast. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.
Following the Cleveland Way Footpath from Sutton Bank towards Osmotherley
A walk through 109 miles of superb North Yorkshire scenery. Opened in 1969 the walk follows the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Starting in the market town of Helmsley, the first 60 miles is walked over spectacular moorland which is at its glorious best in late summer when the heather is in full bloom. The final 50 miles follows the North Sea coastline from Saltburn to Filey. It is a popular long distance path.
