Summary
This route is one of the options of the Rotary Club of Harrogate’s annual Nidderdale walks.
This walk is ideal for those who enjoy medium-length walks. The route takes walkers along the Nidderdale valley to the village of Bouthwaite. From Pateley Bridge, the route follows the path of the Harrogate Rotary 4, 15, 22, and 26-mile walks along the Nidderdale Way. After two miles, the hamlet of Wath is reached. Shortly after leaving Wath, the path continues along the Nidderdale Way, soon coming alongside the east side of Gouthwaite Reservoir, which is followed along its full length to Bouthwaite. From the village, the walk returns to Pateley Bridge by retracing the outbound route.
