Summary:
The Herriot Way is a long distance walk which covers the best of the Yorkshire Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale and the uplands which separate them. The walk visits many of the places featured in the “All Creatures Great and Small” television series which was about the work and exploits of James Herriot. The Herriot Way is a circular, unofficial route of 52 miles in length which can be ideally completed in four stages of approximately 13 miles each.
