River Teign Walk

A long distance path of 44 miles in Devon which follows the course of the River Teign from its source near Postbridge in the heart of Dartmoor to where it enters the English Channel near Teignmouth. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.

Summary: The River Teign Walk is a long-distance footpath which follows the route of the River Teign in Devon, England from Postbridge on Dartmoor to the mouth of the river in Shaldon. Significant places on, or near to, the route starting with a lovely upland section of Dartmoor include Fernworthy Forest, Gidleigh, Chagford, Piddledown Common, Prestonbury Castle Hill Fort, Wooston Castle Hill Fort, Hitchcombe Wood, Cod Wood, Bridford Wood, Doddiscombleigh, Lower Ashton, Trusham, Chudleigh, Chudleigh Knighton and Newton Abbot.
