Summary: The Arrowe Park to Parkgate Circular Walk is a 16 mile long circular trail is the end result of a project undertaken by rambler David Hollett with the help of fellow rambler Claire Gill. It involved laborious consultations with Wirral Borough Council but in the end David's aim was achieved. It was to create a reasonably long walking trail that would take ramblers through some of the most attractive parts of the mid-Wirral peninsular and, at the same time, keep road-walking down to a minimum. The route which begins and ends in Arrowe Country Park includes Landican, Storeton, Brimstage, Thornton Hough, Raby, Neston, Gayton Sands Nature Reserve, Gayton, Heswall, Barnston and Thingwall.
