Long Distance Footpath Directory

On these pages you will find the most comprehensive list of Great Britain's Long Distance Footpaths to be found anywhere on the internet. Interactive maps show the geographic starting point for each walk and in the tables each walk listed has a link which will lead you to more information about the particular Long Distance Footpath. Additionally each individual long distance walk page includes a detailed map showing the route of the path and each page also has route files in .gpx and .kmz format for free download.

Many of the paths listed are well known, particularly to dedicated long distance walkers while a good number of the Long Distance Footpaths are quite possibly only known in their particular locality. I wonder who can claim to have walked the full length of the most? What I would wager is that no one has ever completed them all. Especially as there are over 650 recognised Long Distance Footpaths in the Directory.
