Blue Man Walk
A 16 miles long distance footpath which crosses the North York Moors west of Scarborough. The walk features the forests of Broxa, Dalby and Langdale. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.

Summary:
The Forestry Commission describe the Blue Man Walk as "A trail for the more serious walker connecting Broxa and Dalby Forests via Langdale Forest". The route follows forest roads, earth tracks and paths some of which are narrow and steep in places. From the start of the designated route at the viewpoint parking area on Reasty Bank Top the walk heads west along the northern edge of Broxa Forest to Barns Cliff Edge. From here the route weaves in all directions via Hingles Wood and stepping stones across the River Derwent before circling Langdale Rigg and eventually climbing Langdale Rigg End before turning south through plantation to Warsman Head, afterwards meandering through forest tracks to the Dalby Forest via Maw Rigg End, Black Wood and Noddle Farm. Crosscliff wood viewpoint in the Tabular Hills region of the moors is visited and then forest crossed on a southwards course to join the Tabular Hills Walk at Ebberston Common. A south course is thn followed along Givendale rigg and through Given Dale to the finish at Allerston.
