Summary: The Butcombe Trail, also known as the Mendip Pub Trail is a circular long distance footpath in Somerset which, when conceived, connected six pubs owned by Butcombe Brewery. The trail makes a circuit of the Mendip Hills. It starts in Hinton Blewett and passes through or close to South Widcombe, West Harptree, Compton Martin, Black Moor, Beacon Batch, Black Down, Dolebury Warren, Rowberrow, Sandford Batch (Winscombe), Blanwell, Bleadon Hill, Bleadon, Loxton, Crook Peak, Compton Hill, Wavering Down, Axbridge, Cheddar Reservoir, Cheddar, Draycott Sleights Nature Reserve, Priddy, North Hill, Fair Lady Well, Stock Hill, Greendown Batch, Coley and Coley Hill.
