Summary: The Dane Valley Way begins at Pavilion Gardens in the Derbyshire spa town of Buxton and travels in a south-west direction to the confluence of the River Dane with the River Wheelock at Middlewich. The River Dane is the longest river flowing through Cheshire and the route sticks with it on its full course. The route passes Shires Head, Danebridge, Eaton, Congleton and Holmes Chapel. The second half of the route includes some road side walking.
