Summary:
The Isle of Wight Coastal Path covers 67 miles of paths. Compared to coastal paths such as the South West Coast Path and Pembrokeshire Coast Path the walking on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path is generally steady with mostly mild ascents and descents to be made on the route, although some are steeper. The northern sections move inland and away from the coast at times due to a mix of terrain and access. The other cardinal quadrants are most done along the coast. There is lots to be seen on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path with striking chalk cliffs and sea stacks featuring heavily in the south and west. There are great views out to sea and many interesting places to visit too.
