Summary: The Kirklees Way long distance footpath is a challenging circular route that circles the Metropolitan district of Kirklees in West Yorkshire of which Huddersfield is the premier town. The route takes in some of the best of the local landscape which highlights scenic viewpoints, local history and a series of inclusive and neighbouring areas including the Upper Colne Valley. The walk mixes South Pennine upland with valley floors from the exposed moorland tops to exploration of the industrial towns of Kirklees.
