Summary:
The Leicestershire Round is a 102 mile long distance footpath which takes a circuit of the county. It was devised by the Leicestershire Footpath Association to celebrate their centenary and opened in 1980. As well as circling Leicester the route is also within easy reach of further landmarks in the county including the market towns of Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, Hinkley and Lutterworth and some popular and attractive parts of the county including Burrough Hill, Foxton Locks, High Cross, Bosworth battlefield and Charnwood Forest.
