Llangollen Canal Walk

A long distance walk of around 50 miles in Cheshire and Denbighshire which follows canal towpaths and which crosses the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.

Summary: The Llangollen Canal Walk is a towpath walk which begins by following the Shropshire Union Canal from Nantwich to Hurleston Junction from where the Llangollen Canal is joined. Whitchurch, Ellesmere, and the junction with the Montgomery Canal are passed while walking along the Llangollen Canal before continuing beyond Chirk, Trevor and Llangollen to Berwyn. Walkers will cross the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct during the walk.
