Summary: The Monnow Valley Walk is a walking route in the Welsh Border counties of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire and Powys. The walk is an upstream river route from the confluence of the River Monnow and River Wye in Monmouth to its source near Charwel Ddu on the east side of Hays Bluff close to the Offa's Dyke Path. The river forms a section of the Wales/England border and much of the boundary of Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. Taking the course of the river upstream from Monmouth the walk visits Rockfield, Tregate Bridge, Clappers Wood, Skenfrith, Grosmont, Monmouth Cap, Llancillo, Walterstone, Oldcastle, Clodock, Longtown, Craswall and Hay on Wye. The walk links with some other long distance paths including the Three Castles Walk, Three Rivers Ride and Offa's Dyke Path.
