Summary: The Old Sarum Way is a long distance footpath which forms a circular route around the city of Old Sarum, now modern day Salisbury. The walk which links to the Avon Valley Path, Clarendon Way and Monarch's Way starts east of Salisbury at Ranger's Lodge Farm and visits Clarendon Palace, Crendle Bottom Copse, Pope's Bottom, Alderbury, Whaddon, Trafalgar Park, Charlton All Saints, Odstock, Harnham, Old Shaftsbury Drove, Hare Warren, Punch Bowl Bottom, Burcombe, Grim's Ditch (Heath Wood), South Newton, Newton Barrow, Smithen Down, Lower Woodford, Winterbourne Earls, Cockley Down and Laverstock Down before returning to Ranger's Lodge Farm.
