Oswald's Trail

A long distance path of 13 miles in Shropshire which is centered on the market town of Oswestry. Historic sites associated with the town such as Offa's Dyke, Old Oswestry Hill Fort and Wat's Dyke are visited during the walk. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.

Summary: Oswald’s Trail is a walk in and around the Shropshire town of Oswestry which was conceived and opened in 2013 by the Oswestry Group of the Ramblers as a permanent mark of the group having been in existence for 40 years. The trail is a complete circuit of Oswestry taking in many of the important historical points of interest along the way. These include Old Oswestry Hill Fort, Brogyntyn Park, Wat’s Dyke, Oswestry Old Racecourse Common, Llanforda Wood and a section of Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail.
