Summary: The Penistone Boundary Walk is a route around the boundary of the South Yorkshire town. The route is crossed by the Trans Pennine Trail and also by the main Barnsley - Huddersfield railway line which caters for easy access. From the start at Cubley Hall the route goes by Hacking Hill, Hartcliffe Hill Road, Ecklands, Catshaw Cross, Royd Moor, Scout Dyke Reservoir, Carr Lane, Gunthwaite Dam, Cross Lane, Haigh Lane, Hill Top, Delf House and Castle Green.
