Rossendale Way

Summary: The Rossendale Way long distance footpath is high-level route around the Rossendale Valley which includes crossing of open moors and farmland of the South Pennines. The Rossendale Way roughly follows the Rossendale Borough boundary. It is easy to follow as the Rossendale Ramblers group repaired all the damage and errant waymarking on the route in recent times. Places visited on the walk include Chatterton, Holcombe Moor, Musden Head Moor, Musbury Heights, Calf Hey Reservoir, Haslingden Moor, Rising Bridge, Love Clough, Goodshaw Chapel, Clough Bottom, Doals, Trough Edge End, Hades Hill, Brown Wardle Hill, Rushy Hill, Broadley, Wallbank, Hamer Hill, Top of Leach and Cowpe Moss.
