Summary: The West Deane Way is a circular footpath in the Taunton Deane district of Somerset. There are a variety of landscapes to be enjoyed on the route including the Somerset Flood Plain, the wooded valley of the River Tone and the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are also plenty of industrial remains, historic houses and gardens to be enjoyed on or near to the route. From the beginning of the walk in Taunton, places visited when walking in the anti-clockwise direction include Nailsbourne, Kingston St Mary, Yarford, Cothelstone, West Bagborough, Lydeard St Lawrence, Tolland, Brompton Ralph, Wiveliscombe, Waterrow, Ashbrittle, Appley, Langford Budville, Wellington and Bradford-on-Tone.
